Number of students on the jungle gym =1/4

Number of students on the playground not of jungle gym = [tex] 1-\frac{1}{4}[/tex] = [tex] \frac{4-1}{4}[/tex]=[tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex]

Number of students playing kick ball =1/3

Number of students on the playground not of playing kick ball = [tex] 1-\frac{1}{3}[/tex] = [tex] \frac{3-1}{3}[/tex]=[tex] \frac{2}{3} [/tex]

Number of students on the playground is on the jungle gym or playing kickball = 1/4 +1/3

=[tex] \frac{1}{4}+\frac{1}{3} [/tex]= [tex]\frac{3+4}{12}[/tex]=[tex]\frac{7}{12} [/tex]
