John Locke (1632-1704) was an English philosopher from the Early Enlightenment, one of the most influential philosophers of early Enlightenment. In the discussion of the governments, he advocated that the suspects of people be equal with equal natural rights, opposed to the assertion that God subordinated all the people to the monarch.
