no and no the fastest car may only go 5 feet and the car traveling the longest may go for 3 hours and travel a foot
The distance traveled by a car moving at constant speed is given by [tex]d= vt [/tex] where [tex] v [/tex] velocity of the car and [tex] t [/tex] time. Thus, [tex] d [/tex] depends on both speed and time. A car with velocity [tex] v=10 [/tex] may travel [tex] d=20 [/tex] in 2 sec. But a car with lower speed [tex] v=5 [/tex] can travel [tex] d=40 [/tex] in 8 sec. So we cannot say the car with larger speed travels farther.
In the same way we cannot say that the car traveling the longest time always travel the greatest distance since a car with larger speed may travel more distance in a lesser time.
