One historical contribution of the Neolithic period is the ability to grow crops.
The neolithic period is most known for the advancement in technology and human capability to grow crops, make permament settlements due to it (growing crops required people to stay in one place for a prolonged period of time). This also enabled the rise of bigger civilziations as there was a bigger surpluss of food htan ever before (which is very relative to today's surplus of food).
