All four of the senses: hearing, taste, sight, and touch are invoked.
Hearing is invoked when the reader imagines the sucking noise the "repulsive worms" are making.

Taste is invoked because the reader knows the wounds have been made by bites--whatever made these bites is tasting the blood, as well as the worms.

Sight is invoked most of all, as the reader can imagine this blood mixing with tears and running down someone's face to the ground.

Touch is invoked as the reader imagines what it would be like to be bitten and bleeding as well as crying. They can also imagine the feeling of that liquid running down their own face.
