Receiving negative impact or feedback is never been easy no matter what stage of your career you are in. It is apparently natural to get defensive or upset but the truth is, encountering negative feedback or impact is always been an incredible opportunity to show your capability for learning and growth. Thus, most likely an employee who is able to take negative feedback/impact on her/his success and act on it will likely be more valuable than those employee who in the first place had never take risk. The best way to deal it is to stay calm and stay focus and try to ask few basic questions to show that you are genuinely interested in resolving any perceived problems.
