For this case what we must do first is to obtain the total amount that both have accumulated.
 We have then:
 Lindsay has gotten 14 jumps in a row and Lorraine has gotten 13:
 14 + 13 = 27
 Then, we must find the remaining amount:
 j = 48-27
 j = 21

 they need 21 more jumps to match the record
