A satellite has recently been placed in a nearby circular orbit 2000 kilometers above the earth surface. Given that the radius of the earth is approximately 6400 kilometers and that the satellite completes its orbit in 12 hours, CALCULATE THE SPEED OF THE SATELLITE IN KILOMETERS PER HOUR.

The radius of the orbit is 2000 + 6400 = 8400 km

So the distance covered is 8400 * (2* pi)
The value of pi = 3.14
Circumference = 2*3.14 * 8400 = 52752 km

This occurs in 12 hours so
s = d/t = 52752 / 12
s = 4396 km/hour <<<<===== answer.
