Inferential statistics is based on the idea that the sample is representative of the problem. Inferential statistics are the statistics that predicts or estimates the characteristics of a population. For example, we use inferential statistics to try to infer from the sample data what the population might think, Or we use it to make judgments of the probability that an observed differences between group is a dependable one or one that might have happened by chance in this study.
