The surface area of first cone is 320 square meters.

The surface area of second cone is 20 square meters.

Now scale factor can be found by dividing the surface area of bigger or first cone by that of surface area of second or smaller cone.

So if we divide 320 by 20 , we will get 16.

So we can say that the scale factor is 16

Answer : The scale factor that is used to create the smaller cone from bigger cone is 16.
