Dubai’s population is growing so incredibly fast and its land area is so small that they have come up with an interesting plan to accommodate more people and do it in quite an extravagant way! Dubai has an incredible amount of money to spend on building projects and they want to be known for having the most extravagant resorts in the world so they are creating offshore luxury townships in the Persian Gulf. Although these man-made islands might be susceptible to natural hazards, they don’t seem to mind taking the risk
