In eukaryotes there are several different types of RNA polymerase. RNA polymerase II is involved in transcription of MRNA for a globin protein.

RNA polymerases :
- It is an enzyme that synthesize RNA from a DNA template.
- Also known as DNA-dependent RNA polymerase.
- Eukaryotes have three different type of RNA polymerases, each of three is responsible for transcription of a unique RNA.
- RNA pol || is a multiprotein complex which transcribe DNA into precursor of mRNA and snRNA (single nuclear RNA).
