Glycolysis is... the production of glucose from carbon dioxide and water a series of steps that occur in the mitochondria to transfer electrons to the electron transport chain the movement of hydrogen ions through the intermembrane of the mitochondria to create atp a series of step during which glucose is oxidized to pyruvate

Respuesta :

No glycolysis is the breakdown of glucose into pyruvates. This occurs in the cytosol and produces 2 ATP (energy). Then if there is enough oxygen present in the cell it will undergoe aerobic respiration which occurs in the mitochondria, if there is a lack of or not enough oxygen then it will undergoe anaerobic respiration which occurs in the cytosol still.
