Cell fusion can be defined as a cellular process where
several unicellular cells combine together to form multicellular cell known as
syncytium. Thus, cell fusion is essential for viral entry, muscle differentiation, fertilization, trophoblast cells and placental development.
Furthermore, cell fusion is very important process in cell maturation in other
to maintain specific function throughout growth.
