D. It has two recessive alleles. I took this test and got it right.
A certain flower is a pink color that breeders have determined is a single gene recessive trait. The colour trait will have at least two alleles that will determine its expression. The allele that is dominant will express even if there's a single copy present. The recessive allele requires both the alleles to be recessive in order to express itself. Hence the single gene recessive trait will need to be present as two recessive alleles to express itself.
