It is important to serve a jury duty when you’re called upon because it is you’re legal duty. In the U.S you have to be at least 18 and you can only be excused if you are deaf or blind, are mentally challenged, you have a criminal record, you’re a peace officer, lawyer or even social worker or if you are fighting a illness.
Jurors are summoned usually through randomly drawn voters lists or sometimes drivers lists and will take a questionnaire to see if they are qualified to serve a jury.
