Hey there!

1/4 = 1/4

1/2 = 2/4

[tex]1 + 2 = 3[/tex]

If the denominator is the same in both fractions, it stays the same in the final fraction.

So, the answer would be [tex]3/4[/tex]

1/4 + 1/2 = 3/4

I hope this helps you.
Have a great day! :)
Hey :}

Question:

What does 1/4 + 1/2 equal?

Lets solve by steps:

1.) You have to make both the denominators the same so the LCD is 4.

Since 1/4 denominator is already 4, you don't have to worry about that. But you will need to carry 2 since 4 ÷ 2 = 2

= 2/4

2.) Move that back in the equation:

1/4 + 2/4

3.) Now simplify:

= 3/4
which is the answer.

Hope this helped you solve your question!!!
