Jenny underwent a prenatal test or procedure known as Amniocentesis.  The small amount of amniotic fluid (less than one ounce)  removed from the sac surrounding the fetus is then sent to the laboratory for analysis.  Prior to amniocentesis, a complete anatomical ultrasound should be done to patient.
