The cape of good hope is a peninsula which is located at the southern most part of Cape Town in South Africa where the Atlantic ocean meets the Indian Ocean.
During the European exploration of Africa, Bartholomew Dias named the peninsula the Cape of Storms.
Later on, it was renamed to Good Hope to attract more people to the Cape Sea Route that passed the southern coast of Africa.
