The perimeter of a triangle is 36 inches.the first side of the triangle is 17.35 inches.the second side of the triangle is 6.84 inches.what is the length of the third side of the triangle?

side 1 + side 2 + side 3 = perimeter of the triangle.

17.35 + 6.84 + x = 36

Now solve for x...

24.19 + x = 36
x = 11.81

The length of the third side is 11.81
