Given the functions, f(x) = 2x 2 + 2 and g(x) = 3x + 1, perform the indicated operation. When applicable, state the domain restriction. (f-g)(x)

2x^2- 3x + 1

2x^2 - 3x + 3

5x^3 + 2x^2 + 2

6x^3 + 6x + 3

In this question, the given functions are

[tex] f(x) = 2x^2 +2 , g(x) =3x+1 [/tex]

And we have to find the value of

[tex]  (f-g)(x) [/tex]

Which is equal to

[tex] f(x) - g(x)   [/tex]

So we have to subtract the two functions that is

[tex](f-g)(x) = 2x^2 +2 -3x-1 = 2x^2 -3x+1[/tex]

Correct option is the second option .
