The Tehran conference held in soviet union embassy in Tehran was arranged to discuss the ongoing war, the mean of cooperation and the strategy on common ground. The post dam conference was organized in a particularly tense period when German was about to surrender and japan was a lone walker in the war.By the time of the post dam conference it was now clear that the soviet union was not a trustworthy ally. The soviet was not willing to help in the japanese war, and had already occupied most of eastern Europe. The declaration  of the post dam conference are believed to have bore the cold war.

Overall, the conferences were useful in showing wartime cooperation. Not only did the conferences help the Allies align their war strategies and win the war, but they also allowed FDR and Truman the ability to shape the post-war world in a way that aligned with US goals. One of FDR's goals for the post-war world was the development of the UN. Although he died before it came to be, the conferences helped him gain support for this goal.
