Here, the ozone layer is present which absorbs the harmful incoming solar radiation, due to which the temperature rises. In this layer, the temperature rises from about -40°C to about 5°C.

Since the maximum temperature of the troposphere is about 20°C, we can now observe that the maximum temperature of the stratosphere increases up to about 5°C and the thermosphere increases up to a maximum of 50°C.
