Katherine made herself a likable, yet also unlikable reputation. She, of course, did her best at NASA by doing the work she was made to do but also was unliked because she was african-american. she had to take of long breaks just to use the restroom since it was all the way across the campus. People got frustrated with this and also with her determination to get equal rights for herself and her african-american friends.
