r = distance from the center for piece of dust = 4.5 cm = 0.045 m

v = speed of motion for piece of dust = ?

Speed is given as

v = r w

inserting the values

v = (0.045) (37.2)

v = 1.67 [tex]\frac{m}{sec}[/tex]

t = time of travel for piece of dust = 8 min = 8 x 60 sec = 480 sec        (Since 1 min = 60 s)

d = distance traveled by piece of dust = ?

Distance traveled by piece of dust  is given as

d = v t
