- Intensity in exercising simply refers to how hard the body is working during an exercise or physical activity. Now, this intensity could be on three levels which are;
Low Intensity
Moderate Intensity
Vigorous Intensity.
- Low Intensity; In this level of intensity, the heart rate is usually between 40% to 54.9% of the maximum heart rate.
- Moderate Intensity; In this level of Intensity, the heart rate is usually around 55% to 69.9% of the maximum heart rate.
- Vigorous Intensity; In this level of intensity, the heart rate is usually greater than or equal to 70% of the maximum heart rate.
- In all this, we can see that intensity of exercise helps us to know how much our hearts are exercising because the higher the intensity, the faster your heart beats.
