Methane and carbon dioxide gas are two harmful greenhouse gases. Identify two sources of these gases and discuss what society can do to reduce their impact on the environment.

Respuesta :

Methane and carbon dioxide are found naturally and also by human activities like burning of fossil fuels and by combustion of fuels of cars. We can reduce the emission of these harmful greenhouse gases by the use of green energy like windmills, solar energy, water energy and the like.

Answer:

Two major source of methane are –

a) Burning of fossil fuels

b) Natural wetlands

Two major source of carbon dioxide gas –

a) Release from ocean

b) Respiration

Measures taken by society to reduce the impact of carbon dioxide and methane

a)   Plantation

b)  Reduction of green house gases

c) Sustainable practice

Measures taken by society to reduce the impact of carbon dioxide and methane

a) Plantation – This will help in reducing the adverse impacts of CO2 and methane gas.

b) Reduction of green house gases - Reducing the use of machine , equipment’s and mode of transportation that further intensifies the problem of green house gases.

c) Sustainable Practice - Sustainable technologies for energy  and goods production must be promoted.
