Playland Park charges $25 admission plus $2 per ride. Funland Park charges $35 admission plus $1 per ride. For what number of rides is the total cost the same at both parks?

Playland day cost is 25+2r
Funland day cost is 35+1r
Now plug in the same number to both and see if the answer is equal I always start with easy ones:

25+10=35
35+5=40
10
25+20=45
35+10=45

So 10 is the number of rides that makes the parks cost the same.
