On 26 January 2011, Henin announced her definitive retirement from professional tennis, due to an exacerbation of the elbow injury she sustained the previous year at Wimbledon.

Since her final retirement in 2011, Henin has stayed engaged with tennis through her academy and coaching, and she's become a mother of two. She's been working in television, as well. The Belgian was also inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2016.

Depuis sa dernière retraite en 2011, Henin est restée engagée dans le tennis à travers son académie et son entraînement, et elle est devenue mère de deux enfants. Elle travaille aussi à la télévision. Le Belge a également été intronisé au Temple de la renommée du tennis international en 2016.
