2NaI(aq) + Pb(NO3)2(aq) → PbI2(s) + 2NaNO3(aq)
Which of these compounds is the precipitate?
a. NaI
b. Pb(NO3)2
c. PbI2
d. NaNO3
I think it is C. is this wrong?

Respuesta :

Nope, you are correct! The precipitate of a solution is the solid that forms when two of them are mixed. PbI2 is the only solid, so it must be the precipitate!
All salts are soluble except PbI2 because it has less solubility product(more the solubility product is, more soluble the salt is). Hope this helps!!
