Precautions taken while administering Stadol-
- Age, body weight, physical condition, underlying pathological condition, use of other medications, kind of anaesthetic to be used, and surgical procedure involved are factors to be taken into account when selecting the dose.
- Use with additional caution in the elderly, in people with hepatic or renal illness, or during labour.
- In individuals on other CNS active medications, those with CNS illnesses, or those with respiratory impairment, butorphanol may cause respiratory depression.
