Respuesta :

Overpopulation in China began after the Second World War  in 1949, when Chinese families were encouraged to have as many children as possible in the hope of bringing more money to the country, building a military better team and produce more food.

Rapid growth leads to uncontrolled urbanization, creating overpopulation, poverty, crime, pollution and political instability. Rapid growth has outstripped increases in food production, and population pressure has led to overexploitation of arable land and its destruction. China is one of the largest countries in the world in terms of population and land area, with more than 1.4 billion citizens and 9.6 million square kilometers of land. .

China's overpopulation has made it difficult to maintain the  quality of life most citizens desire. More people means  increased demand for food, water, housing, energy, healthcare, transportation, and more. And all this consumption contributes to ecological degradation, increased conflict and a higher risk of large-scale disasters like pandemics.
