Respuesta :

british trade? i think that it's called british timber trade

Answer:

Even though England depended on colonies like timber and men for their ships and keep trade active. The main resource dependence was on the silver and gold it obtained from the trade they sustained with their respective colonies.

Explanation:

To understand why there were 2 types of dependance between the resources of England's colonies and England itself we have to analyze the context.

First of all, England had a great number of colonies all over the world. Back then the best source of transport was ships made of wood. So, they required two things to make them and to use them. The first was timber and the second mand who could drive them. There were hostile times in which the countries attacked their rivals' ships on the open sea. Thus, ships didn't last long.

Second, the trading system was based on the exchange of gold and goods. The colonies paid in gold and silver they got from England, and it was important because in that time gold and silver were the currency of wealth. So, the more silver and gold a country had, the powerful it was.
