During a lytic infection, the host cell A. is destroyed when it bursts B. is not taken over right away by the virus C. carries a prophage that stays part of the DNA for many generations D. produces offspring that are infected by the virus Can someone please help me?(:

Respuesta :

When a virus attaches to its host cell, it injects the DNA/RNA that is inside of its capsid and the host cell uses it kind of like a mindless, hypnotized being and makes little virus parts inside. Once all the parts are assembled, the cell pretty much explodes(or lyses).
