In George Washington's Farewell Address, our first president
warned strongly against the formation of political parties in the
United States. He believed they would only cause deep divisions
and anger among the people and would cause the country to
become too divided. Nevertheless, we have operated under a
two-party system for nearly 2 centuries. Do you think
