Thrombocytosis is the answer that makes sense. Thrombocytosis is a chronic condition usually due to hereditary means that produces excessive amounts of platelets. This excessive platelet count begins to cause a number of problems usually revolved around circulation as the platelets begin to block and coagulate in the bloodstream. This predisposes patients toward Thrombi with increasing risk toward MI (Myocardial Infarctions, Heart Attacks), CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident or Stroke), or DVTs (Deep venous Thrombi). Additional they increase the risk of traveling clots like Emboli which can cause Pulmonary Embolisms.
To treat Thrombocytopenia, a patient is put chronically on anticoagulants, and recommended to constantly be active and maintain a healthy diet.
