The process that will be most beneficial to a species is the process of SEXUAL REPRODUCTION THROUGH MEIOSIS.
This because, the process of meiosis brings about offspring which are genetically distinct from their parents, thus it introduces genetic variation in a population of species. The difference in the genetic composition of the parents and the offspring will make the offspring more adaptable to the variation in temperature that is found in the concerned ecosystem.
Mitosis on the other hand only divide the parent cells into two thus it does not bring about genetic variation which can enhance the survival of the new animals born into the ecosystem.

Meiosis: It increases genetic variation, which helps ensure the species will survive.
